Festa Italiana in Thunder Bay

ITALIAN CULTURAL CENTRE
2002

Festa Italiana - Josie Gallo and Benny Melchiorre under the Pepsi sponsor label.

Two of the many volunteers at the Italian Society of Port Arthur, in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada who help organize and operate the annual Festa Italiana.   A festa that celebrates "people" of all ethinic origins, including the various regions of Italy.

Over the two days, a variety of entertainment acts can be seen on the stage.  Acts that include the Stelle Alpini Dancers, the Alpini Choir, and a variety of local and "imported" entertainment acts.

On the grounds you will find a variety of local community groups from the Gran Sasso Club to Saint Anthony's and Saint Dominic's Church with their authentic Italian cuisine.

Italians from the USA
AMERICAN VISITORS FROM VIRGINIA MINNESOTA

For many years now, "The Cantatori" from Virginia, Minnesota,  have been regular visitors and performers at the Festa.  Here three of "the boys" from the USA pose infront of the newly constructred Italian Cultural Centre.

Take a look at the cultural displays in the main building of the Italian Cultural Centre.   Culture,  from the abstract-culture, two and three dimensional art, to the concrete-culture, people and real things will be set up on display at the centre.
